Business Decision Support

Decision Support is not fundamentally about information technology. It

is concerned with understanding the nature and quality of information

that is available to help support decisions and how best to present that

information to understand its implications.

The key processes underlying business decision support are; data

collection, data clean-up, data analysis, information visualisation and if appropriate

forecasting and modelling. Knowledge Realisation sees information technology as a

conduit for this process not a substitute.

Projects delivered to date range from data collection and business dashboard creation

through to activities in support of the UK’s Defence Industrial Strategy using a range of

statistical, data modelling and data visualisation tools.
